IMPORTANT: Use only the containers at the east end of the back alley, near the entrance to the garage. Do NOT use the containers at the west end near the entrance to our neighbors, Midway View.
Do NOT overload the dumpsters. Break down your cardboard boxes, as a matter of courtesy to your neighbors, so that they don't take up too much space in the dumpsters.

Please read carefully and follow all the instructions.
MATERIALS MUST BE SEPARATED!
Do NOT put plastic bags in the recycling bins as they create serious problems at the plant.
NEWSPAPERS AND MIXED PAPER Newspapers and newspaper supplements are to be put into the container LOOSE. DON’T leave any PLASTIC bags around newspapers or advertising materials. Other Mixed Paper: goes into same container. This includes office paper and envelopes, junk mail, magazines & catalogs, etc. PLEASE put all “other mixed paper” in bags that you can tie, or bundle the paper and tie a string around it. NO TISSUE, NO PAPER NAPKINS!!!
METAL (STEEL AND ALUMINUM) AND PLASTIC FOOD AND BEVERAGE CANS Rinse all cans. If you would like, remove paper wrappings from food cans. Cans should be LOOSE in the container, use no bags or boxes. DO NOT INCLUDE PAINT OR CHEMICAL CONTAINERS. Metal yogurt tops can go with aluminum. PLASTIC: NUMBERS 1 TO 7 CAN BE RECYCLED Rinse and place in container loose (when possible, foot flatten to save space). Check bottom for triangle and # if you are not sure whether a plastic object can be recycled. NO plastic bags, boxes, toys, re-usable cups or plates, or styrofoam.
GLASS GLASS BOTTLES AND JARS Rinse, NO lids (labels are ok). Deposit LOOSE in container (no bags or boxes). NO PYREX, NO FLAT GLASS, NO CRYSTAL, NO CERAMIC.
CORRUGATED CARDBOARD can be recycled using the two large, blue bins labeled for "Cardboard." All cardboard must be flattened and/or cut to size so that it fits in the bin and the lid is able to be closed. The bin will fill very quickly if cardboard is not flattened or cut, so please make sure to flatten all cardboard prior to placing it in the recycling bins.
Please pay close attention to these rules:
No Cardboard (Including pizza boxes)
No liquids
No excessively stinky waste
No sharp objects of glass
Place all refuse in a closed bag. Unbagged trash leads to unnecessary mess.
Violations are subject to $50 fines.
